General FAQs

What is In Forme?

In Forme is a strength-centered wellness platform designed to support women through all life phases, especially the transition into and beyond motherhood. We offer thoughtful movement, holistic nutrition, and mindset practices that honour your season, your hormones, and more.

Who is In Forme for? Do I have to be a mom to join?

In Forme is for any woman seeking strength, nourishment, and self-trust in her body. While many of our programs are created with preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood in mind, our deeper mission is to support women in coming home to themselves; whether or not you’re a mom.

What does “In Forme” mean?

“In Forme” (En Forme) is French for “in shape” or “in good form,” and we see it as something more layered— Being In Forme is about being in progress, since strength or fitness or health in general is not a fixed state nor a thing one achieves once and is done; it’s about being in your season, in your process, in your power. Being In Forme is about being able to shape and reshape ourselves with whatever we can, so we can live our lives wholly and joyfully.

How is In Forme different from other fitness or nutrition programs?

We blend evidence-based strength training and holistic nutrition with a deep respect for the female body across all life phases. You won’t find bounce-back culture, restrictive meal plans, or hustle-driven programming here. Just grounded, intelligent support—rooted in strength, slowness and softness.

Do I need a gym or any equipment to follow your workouts?

Our programs are designed to meet you where you are with what you have and then proceed from there. We have programs designed for people that both have access to equipment and those that don’t. As you progress and get stronger, you will most likely want to invest in some sort of resistance equipment but that in of itself is not a pre-requisite for training with In Forme.

Can I just follow along on Instagram, or do I need to sign up for a program?

We love sharing inspiration and free tips on Instagram, but the deeper transformations happen inside our structured programs and coaching spaces. That’s where you get progression, personalization, and guidance built to support you long term.

Do you offer 1:1 coaching or custom plans?

Yes, we do! 1:1 coaching is available in limited spots throughout the year. If you’re looking for a custom fitness or nutrition plan, you can reach out directly to  informehealth@gmail.com to inquire about availability.

Fitness & Movements FAQs

Do you offer strength training for pregnancy?

Yes. We offer prenatal strength and mobility workouts designed to support your changing body, maintain strength, and prepare you for birth and recovery.

I’m newly postpartum. When can I start movement with In Forme?

We have slow, rehabilitative and restorative entry points designed specifically for early postpartum healing that can begin as soon as birth has occurred if you’d like. At In Forme, we do not wait until the magical 6 weeks that women are typically told to wait for, before starting the restorative program. That’s not to say that we are lifting weights before you’re cleared, just simply that there are movements for this specific early postpartum period that help your mind reconnect with your body and your organs and muscles reconnect with each other so that you can indeed be ready for exercise once you are cleared, as opposed to starting from zero or starting with muscles that aren’t fully reconnected to then support you through your regular exercise programming. We are here to walk with you through every season of your reproductive years and beyond.

Are your workouts safe for prolapse, diastasis recti, or pelvic floor issues?

Yes. Our programs are created with these realities in mind. We emphasize core and pelvic floor awareness, proper pressure management, and slow progression to help you build strength safely from the inside out. If you’re managing a diagnosed condition, we always recommend seeking professional clearance first.

What if I haven’t exercised in a long time—can I still join?

Absolutely! Our programs meet you exactly where you are, whether you’re rebuilding strength after birth, or just took a long season away from movement or never had any experience with intentional strength training at all! We are here to be part of your journey regardless of your background with exercise. No experience needed.

Nutrition & Lifestyle FAQs

Is your nutrition guidance safe for breastfeeding moms?

Yes! Our nutrition approach is built with nourishment in mind, especially for postpartum women. We focus on blood sugar balance, mineral repletion, and food-based support for energy, hormones, and healing. Nothing restrictive or depleting at In Forme.

Do you offer meal plans or just general guidance?

We offer gentle frameworks, weekly meal rhythms, and hormone-supportive recipes rather than rigid meal plans. Our goal is to help you build sustainable habits and an intuitive relationship with food so you can eventually nourish your body with foods that are beneficial for it all on your own.

Do I need to count calories or track macros to follow your nutrition approach?

Not at all if that’s not something you want. While we offer education around energy balance and nutrient needs, our focus is on nourishment, not numbers. You’ll learn to tune in to your body’s cues and build meals that actually satisfy and support you.

Can I still join if I have food sensitivities or dietary restrictions?

Yes! Many of our recipes are gluten- and dairy-free friendly, and our guidance can be adapted to meet your personal needs. If you’re working 1:1, we’ll tailor everything to your body and preferences, including vegans, vegeterians or our founder’s fellow Africans who still want to keep an African style of cuisine as part of their nourishment!

I’m overwhelmed and low on energy. Will I be able to stick with this?

We’ve built our programs with your energy in mind. You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. Our structure helps you take one step at a time, and our heart posture towards you is of compassion and not pushy is always compassionate, not pushy. You’re allowed to move slow. We are after progression, not perfection.
